Essentially, skimming is a top-coat of plaster which is used to cover-up superficial blemishes and restore the surface of a wall or ceiling to a smooth and level finish. Typically this is used when old wallpaper has been removed causing surface damage, or where there are minor scuffs and abrasions. In the photos to the right you can see pictures showing some examples of our skimming projects on a previously Artexed walls and ceilings, adhesive covered walls and in making good damaged walls. We also fit coving in readiness for the decorators. As you can tell the finished plastered surfaces look excellent.
